How we choose partners

A tool only gets listed here after we have used it and would recommend it to a friend who asked. We start from the tasks our own visitors are trying to finish — rewriting a paragraph, checking a citation, moving money between countries, tidying a PDF — and look for the paid product that does that job best. A real free tier, transparent pricing, and a no-obligation trial matter; a product that hides its price or makes cancelling difficult is not added, whatever it pays.

Every partner link is an affiliate link, marked with rel="sponsored", and earns us a commission if you subscribe — at no extra cost to you, and at the same price you would pay going direct. The commission has no bearing on whether a tool is listed, where it appears on this page, or what our guides say about it. If a partner's product gets worse, the listing comes down.

Editorial independence

ToolNotch's own calculators and converters run entirely in your browser using published formulas, so a commercial relationship cannot change a result. Our comparisons and recommendations reflect honest testing. We would rather list nothing in a category than list a product we do not believe in — which is why this page is short and grows slowly.
